About the Colchester-East Hants Regional Library Foundation

ABOUT US

The Colchester-East Hants Public Library Foundation is a registered, public foundation that seeks the support of the private sector to maintain and enhance our library system. Public libraries throughout the province are facing severe funding challenges at a time when government support has not kept pace with changing costs and services.

The foundation has been established to ensure that the libraries in our system can continue to provide the excellent services that are available for all to enjoy, and to continue to meet the challenges that the library will face in coming years. Grants from the foundation to the library will be used for technology acquisitions and improvements, funding for special projects and collections, and funding of capital projects; the foundation will not provide assistance with the library's operating costs.

The Colchester-East Hants Public Library Foundation is a registered charity. Tax receipts for income tax purposes will be issued for all donations.

The foundation works closely with the library board and staff to ensure that your contribution is put to the best use.
