Our Board of Directors
The Colchester-East Hants Regional Library Board is composed of 10 members:
- 2 members appointed by the Municipality of Colchester
- 2 members appointed by the Municipality of East Hants
- 2 members appointed by the Province of Nova Scotia
- 2 members appointed by the Town of Truro
- 2 members appointed by the Town of Stewiacke.
The Board provides important oversight, particularly for setting strategic direction, overseeing financial management and reporting, establishing policies and ethical standards for management, and building community relationships.
The Colchester-East Hants Regional Library Board is a corporation that governs the Library in accordance with the Nova Scotia Libraries Act, which regulates regional library service in the Province.

Meetings
The Colchester-East Hants Public Library Board typically meets five times a year. Board meetings are open to the public, but if a confidential matter needs to be discussed, that portion of the meeting may be held in private. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is usually held the fourth Tuesday of June.
