SUMMARY:Voices for Change:  Gerald Gloade on Mi’kmaq Traditional and Ecological Knowledge
DESCRIPTION:Gerald Gloade is an artist\, educator\, and Program Development Officer for the Mi’kmawey Debert Cultural Centre. Gerald will share his knowledge of celestial and seasonal patterns observed by the Mi’kmaw and the lessons learned from the land over the millennia.  Despite changes in naturally occurring events due to global warming\, the Mi’kmaw people continue to utilize a traditional understanding of annual events that provides a schedule to follow in order to prepare and collect gifts from the Creator. \nThis is a drop-in event.
