Haiku Contest!

Some folks say that poetry is the art of saying a lot with a few words. So, what better way to celebrate National Poetry Month than with a haiku writing contest! A haiku is a Japanese style poem that has three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third. Every haiku you write is one entry into the contest to win a book of Haiku published by Everyman’s Library Pocket Poets! Afterwards the haikus will be put into a mini-zine for patrons of the library. All ages are welcome to participate.
