Some folks say that poetry is the art of saying a lot with a few words. So, what better way to celebrate National Poetry Month than haiku writing. A haiku is a Japanese style poem that has three lines, with five syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third. Afterwards the haikus will be put into a mini-zine for patrons of the library. Submit poems either in person, or by email. All ages are welcome to participate.
