Library Accessibility Committee: Call for Volunteers

We are joining the Government of Nova Scotia and many organizations across the province to make our spaces inclusive and barrier-free. We are looking for individuals of varying abilities to form our Library Accessibility Committee. This committee helps shape our accessibility policies and practices. Together, we can make the library a place for everyone.

Do you identify as:

• Living with a disability

• Being neurodivergent

• Being d/Deaf

• Living with a mental health condition

Or do you work with people with disabilities?

Members will attend 4 online meetings per year for 2 years. This is a paid volunteer position.

If you have lived experience, professional experience, or advocacy experience that you feel would benefit the committee, please apply.
